After departing San Francisco, spend the next day cruising California's picturesque Pacific coast before arriving in San Diego. You will love explorng Balboa Park, with its 15 museums and the San Diego Zoo. Then, Latin rhythms surge to the forefront, as you call on ecology-conscious Huatulco and welcoming Puerto Chiapas, the gateway to numerous Mayan ruins. Next is a transit through the spectacular Panama Canal. Another highlight is Cartagena's walled Old Town, a medieval wonderland of colonial mansions, monasteries and cobblestone streets. In contrast, visit Seven Mile Beach just north of George Town and sink your feet into the white, powdery sands and impossibly clear water.
