SHORE EXCURSION HIGHLIGHTS
This never-before-offered itinerary immediately demonstrates how it differs from other eastbound Panama Canal transits. After departing San Francisco, spend the next day cruising California's picturesque Pacific coast before arriving in San Diego. You will love explorng Balboa Park, with its 15 museums and the San Diego Zoo. Then, Latin rhythms surge to the forefront, as you call on ecology-conscious Huatulco and welcoming Puerto Chiapas, the gateway to numerous Mayan ruins. Next is a transit through the spectacular Panama Canal. Another highlight is Cartagena's walled Old Town, a medieval wonderland of colonial mansions, monasteries and cobblestone streets. In contrast, visit Seven Mile Beach just north of George Town and sink your feet into the white, powdery sands and impossibly clear water.

SAN FRANCISCO - With icons like the Golden Gate Bridge, clanging streetcars, rolling fog and impossible steep hills, scenic San Francisco never fails to capture your heart. Tour notorious Alcatraz, or observe the bonsai in the Japanese Tea Garden.
SAN DIEGO - San Diego is livng proof that a big city can still feel like a small town. Its Spanish heritage is evident at popular sites. Visit San Diego Museum of Man, the peaceful Botanical Building and Lily Pond, and the signature San Diego Zoo. Ship buffs will enjoy the Maritime Museum, where you can board and tour the vessels.
CABO SAN LUCAS - Revel in a scenic tour of this exotic landscape and enjoy fabulous views of the rugged coastline and an ncredble cactus garden. Snorkel in a quiet cove or go in search of migrating gray whales.
MAZATLAN - In Old Mazatlan, visit the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception crowned wth a gold ceiling, then stroll through the colonial-era Plaza Republica with charming Victorian bandstand.
ACAPULCO - See the breathtaking views of Acapulco Bay from the Chapel of Peace. Don't miss the cliff divers of La Quebrada or the old colonial quarter of town. Visit Taxco, renowned for its silver.
HUATULCO - Surrounded by lush lowland jungle vegetation, the beaches are known for their blue-green water and spectacular scuba diving and snorkeling. Tangolnda Bay offers one of the best golf courses ont e Pacific Coast.
PUERTO CHIAPAS - Journey into the Sierra Madre Mountains to discover one of the oldest coffee plantions in the region.

PUNTARENAS - Be awed by the spectacular rainforest canopy whether you walk through it or ride an aerial tram. Discover breathtaking waterfalls, butterfly gardens and a cloud forest. Ride horseback through a rare, virgin tropical dry forest or enjoy a scenic drive to San Jose and see this charming city.

CARTEGENA - Take a scenic drive through a residential area of Manga, and admire the beautiful mansions. Explore the Castillo San Felipe de Barajas. Enjoy a boat ride to te Islas del Rosario or board a beautiful Spanish Galleon for a cruise of the inner bay of Cartegena. Cartegena is known for its fabulous variety of emeralds.

GEORGETOWN - Swim and snorkel with sy and gentle stingrays, see the underwater wold from a semi-submersible sub, or send a postcard from "Hell". Visit a turtle farm or ust relax on miles of exquisite white sand beaches.
